Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how TaxMind AB ("TaxMind", "we", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information about you when you use our website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Services").

We have written this policy in plain language wherever possible. Where legal precision requires a specific term, we've kept it short.

02

Data we collect

We only collect information necessary to provide core platform functionality. This generally falls into three categories:

  • Account information — your name, email, business details, and authentication credentials.
  • Financial data — transactions, balances, and metadata retrieved from accounts you connect through encrypted, read-only links.
  • Usage information — diagnostic, performance, and error data needed to operate and improve the Services.
03

How we use information

We use collected information to provide, maintain, and improve the Services; to authenticate users; to detect and prevent fraud; to deliver customer support; and to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data to third parties. We do not use customer financial data to train shared AI models. Categorization and forecasting models are scoped to each customer's own data unless explicit opt-in consent has been provided.

04

Security

All financial information is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Access to production systems is gated behind multi-factor authentication, time-boxed elevation, and immutable audit logs.

Bank credentials are never stored on TaxMind servers. We use trusted infrastructure providers that hold credentials under their own regulatory oversight.

05

Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to deliver the Services and comply with our legal obligations. When you delete your account, we remove personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law (e.g., tax record-keeping).

06

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. You may exercise these rights at any time through your account settings or by contacting privacy@taxmind.ai.

EU residents may lodge complaints with their local data protection authority.
